Ingredients

  • 2 TBS Texas Pecan Oil
  • 2 LBS Ground Turkey
  • 2 medium Onions, chopped
  • 2 cups Water
  • 2 cups Chicken Broth
  • 2 28oz cans Crushed Tomatoes
  • 2 16oz cans Kidney Beans
  • 2 TBS Garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup Chili Powder
  • 1 tsp Smoked Paprika
  • 1 tsp Dried Oregano
  • 1 tsp Ground Cayenne Pepper
  • 1 tsp Ground Cumin
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Ground Black Pepper

Instructions

  • 1. Heat the pecan oil in a large pot over medium heat. Place turkey in the pot, and cook until evenly brown. Stir in onion, and cook until tender.
  • 2. Pour chicken broth and water into the pot. Mix in tomatoes, kidney beans, and garlic. Next add chili powder, paprika, oregano, cayenne pepper, cumin, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer 30 minutes.
